Family Catfish Derby Results
June 11th, 12th and 13th 1999
The weather was decent and the fish cooperated for a lot of the
participants. There were over 400 entries in the adult division. The
south end of the lake was a little windy on Friday night and Saturday
but the hardier anglers toughed it out and caught fish. Most of the
winning fish were caught in the south end around Rattlesnake Island
or near Cache Creek. I wimped out and headed for the north end on
Saturday afternoon where my partner and I only managed two small fish
about 8 or 9 pounds. Everybody I talked to enjoyed the derby very
much whether they caught fish or not.
