Yeah man it should be cool I know Kev has been pumpin it up to you the last couple of years since the BOC event in Blythe a few years ago. Alot of places to camp have closed down this year so we're having a hard time finding a place to set up a tent, bbq...and shower up between stints on the water but we're gonna make it happen....this is our event of the year!

Thanks for the info I'm going to call today and see if they have anything available. I called Clearlake resort and their message said that they aren't doing camping anymore, just RV sites. I really like that southwest side of the lake but if anyone else has a suggestion for where to camp I would appreciate it.

Well this will be my friends and I fifth year anniversary driving up from LA for the derby. We used to stay at Funtime and a couple years ago they changed the name and I can't seem to find it anywhere so if someone could help with it I would appreciate it......because I know the derby is around the corner. I was also looking for the name of a camping park located back in the marsh area in cache creek.....I think its over by the area where last years top fish was caught. Well thanks in advance for any help hopefully the bite is more reminescient of years past this year because it was hard fishing last year. The change in weeks for the derby helped avoid the rain of the past but didn't help the bite....well not for us!

I remember limiting on crappie two years ago around derby time out around Indian and catching hand size gills day after day while waiting on cat action......last year there was no crappie or gill bite or cat bite really but hopefully this year it will be different.......I drive up with four friends from LA five years running now and hope that this bite picks up!!!!

TS were you able to find out any information on the boat rentals for the derby? I am coming up from LA and was contemplating renting one instead of towing mine up again. If you find out anything can you post it please?
