My bag for the Trout Derby

Saturday morning I was out in my lil dingy trolling.  I picked up 2 trout in the first 5 mins of leaving the dock.  the second of which was 17" and just under the tournaments largest fish of 17.5".  I caught a 3rd at the narrows then my battery died.  I rowed in and weighed in my bag for 2.3 lbs.  Sunday I was absolutely skunked and had only 1 bite in the narrows which appears the fish must have over shot my lure as when I went to set the hook all I had were 3 scales stuck to the hook.  I hear the winner had a combined bag for both days totalling 11.9+ lbs.  I took all 3 of my fish on a silver cast master but I heard needlefish charmed many a trout too, though mine didn't.

i got first place that year in 2007 with 11.88pounds combining both days, 9.95pounds i got 2nd in 2004, 2008 10.4 pounds 2nd place, and 2010 i got 11.18 pounds. This years derby they had computer trouble figuring out who won so they will notify the people in the near future. Ill post 1st place weight when i find out.

i got the second longest fish this year.but my wieght was only 4.77 for 3 trout.
