Welcome. I am actually looking foward to some southern cali people to fish this derby. I have been fishing it since 2008 and have been looking for someon3 from Cali to enter the winners board like I did. Man I'll start the trash talk I aint afraid. The only thing this Derby misses is the getting together and hanging out and just sharing stories but its probablyh because people are out fishing all night trying to win that boat. But I wish everyone the best of look and if you have not fished this lake PAY ATTENTION to the vets on this board who are willing to share. I have learned so much about fishing in general from this site. I'm somewhat jealous of the fishermen that fish this lake because out here in southern Cali fishing is both expensive and hard. I know westcoast Katmasters and I hope you rep at this Derby. Tell B I said hello and I hope to see you guys in Blythe in
April. and will definitely see you in May. Tight lines.

    Yea I`ll be representing WCCM, I live in Oceanside, Ca.   I`ve placed 7 out of the last 8 years....
  So.Cal. will be in the Clearlake house, kicking a$$ and taking names , so let the smack talk begin...LOL......

there will be stiff comp like there is every year, i've been fishing the derby since 1997 and have 2 first place and 1 5th place the grand prize has eluded me so far but my nephew won the kids division last year lucky little S.O.B. LOL and we are locals and look forward to beating out of towners LOL  Good luck to everyone this year !!!!!!!!!!

   Hey maddog, what years did you take 1st and 5th....  I have four top 12`s and two in the top 5, with one being the Derby record, so monkey`s off my back, but I do need a new little boat for the river, I gave the one I won to my brother, he fishes it in the Derby every year....   So all you Clearlake Master Catfishermen watch out..

LOL SHOOOOOOOOOOT WHEN I WAS A LIL GUY I WAS NAILIN 20 LB CATS AND WORKIN AT DONS BAITSHOP...AND OH YES I CAN HANDLE THEM ITY BITY CATS...IF I CAN BENCH 225 I CAN HANDLE A CAT EASILY..
