Whats up madfisherguy ?    Seen you hooked into some nice crappie almost 3 lbs, sweet..... But you know you fish for Bluegills  angling  if you wanted to chase big Flatheads on the Colorado River you would  have to fish for blue gills, or you would be taking home some skunk meat...lol woot, so don`t have shame in your game, hell , I live 8 blocks from the beach, so I fish for everything from Surf Perch to Makos, heck last weekend I went out in the salt and warmed up for the Derby on some giant Black sea bass up to 70lbs fisher  Anyway good luck fishing this year, and keep us posted on the Crappie........

Katfish, I'll be easy to fine. Just come to where ariderfreak use to fish and I'm sure you'll fine me there. Of course with the Derby Winning Big Cat tied up the boat. I released a 28 plus last weekend in my honey hole.  I will say this I have been catching alot of cats in the 6 to 10 lb range lately. Not a lot of big fish around yet, catching a few here and there and nothing drifting outside the creek yet!

I will make sure to look the Posse up this Derby and of  sign up with WCCM, they need a Master Catfishermen on the roster  Thumbs up.

I use to live in Southern California for 20 years. I use to fish Lake Irvine all of time and Lakes in San Diego area.

IT"S FISHING TIME!  fish  fish fish  fish  fish  fish  fish  fish  fish  fish  fish  fish  fish

Hey RPP, a report once in a while after your fishing trips would be kindly appreciated.  You can't just come in here and start throwin 28 pounders around like it's no big deal Grin

I don't have a good feeling about your creek honey hole in the derby.  Just my humble opinion

Love that name KnotGillty  clap! clap!. As luck would have it my honey hole will have to much traffic during Derby time to catch that big Cat. Every year it get worse then the year before in the creek. Last year it was just nuts, gunshots, yelling and boats at full speech after dark most of the night  crazy!. This year rumor has it the creek will have Fish & Game on partol as well as the local Sheriff  Thumbs up its about time!!! I will fish the first night in the creek but if things get to crazy I'll move.

I will keep you posted on the fishing at Clear Lake, Im there this weekend and I'll have the labtop with me on the boat. I have'nt fished my #2 magic fishing hole yet this year, its very hard to get to, it can be hot fishing if the water warms up. The water temp is in the high 50's in the creek at night. Its been a little cold the last three weekends.

The weather looks really good and if it stays warm by Derby Time the water should be in the mid to high 60's. If it is we'll see some very big fish in th nets.

Weekend Catfishing Report, small cats in creek  angling, no catfish drifting  Undecided.  Not a good weekend fishing, weather was great water was 62 late afternoon .  I did catch a few catfish in the creek " Anderson Marsh " side. Nothing big but alot of 4 to 6lbs  fish. This weekend the creek had a lot of boats in it I almost thought it was derby time. Im sure next weekend they'll be even more getting ready for the derby. Time to fined a new catfish fishing hole to hide in at Derby Time.

I'll will be on vacation for the next 2 weeks in Clear Lake, Im going to be fishing the north end of the Lake this week. I'll pass on the fishing reports each day till Derby time. I really don't think Im going to fish in the creek this year, to much boats traffic and weekend party's in the creek. I will go visit the regulars who fish the creek each year during the day time hours! At night time Im going Catfish Hunting  clap! clap!.

RPP Catfish Report...Monday Night! Good night fishing. fish I found the catfish drifting from the steel wall on the right  of Rattle Snake Inland by the Keys. No really big fish but had 10 fish in the boat by midnight. The fish were between 6 and 15lbs and lost a big one, broke the line. I will anchor tonight at the inland and give a report in the morning. The weather report is going to be warm in the 80's during the derby this year in the day time and mid 50's at night. ?? If the weather holes up its is going to be a great catfish derby. Thumbs up Its about time we had nice weather during the derby! clap! clap!

RPP Catfish Report last night. The wind was nasty last night  angryfire. I pull into a small cove at Rattlesnake Inland to get out of the wind. I guess I was just lucky ended up with 17 Catfish in six hours the biggest was 25.4lbs  fish and the smallest was 1.5lbs. Most of the fish were 6 to 10lbs. I released all the cat's. I did take a picture of the Big fish I will post later today. One very fat fish.

If the wind go's down I'll be drifting the south end tonight, around Indian Inland. I did'nt have much luck last weekend but its been very warm  in the high 70's during the day and low 50's at night. The water temp last night at 2am was 66  clap! clap!. The Lake is warming up and the water temp should be in the low to mid 70's by derby time rock!.
