RPP Catfish Report May 7th, The bite is on around Rattle Snake Inland side of the lake lots of Catfish around, drifting the steel wall on the right to the Inland, Also you can tie up next to shore around the inland shallow water side and catch big fish. Last night I did just that to get out of the wind and had a good night 11 fish-6 to 12lbs. Water Temp was 68 at midnight, low 70's mid day. I did try drifting the south end and fishing the Creek till about 9 pm last night had very little luck. The water temp was great, just alot of wind and boats in the creek.

If this warm weather keeps up it going to be a great derby, its about time ,the last few years its been tuff fishing and bad weather to fish in. There's been a lot of wind the last 2 nights  Angry

I will be fishing the northern part of the Clear Lake tonight -State Park side the water is even warmer.

RPP Catfish report from south end of lake this afternoon. I was drifting most of the afternoon, alot of wind. I did catch 2 small fish 3lbs or so. I don't think the Cats are coming in yet at the south end. The water temp this afternoon was 70.

I will be heading tonight to the State Park side of the lake to go Catfish Hunting. T

Thanks for the reports Paul.  Sounds like you've been doing much better around Rattlesnake and the upper points.  I wish the south end of the lake was producing better.  Not sure why its not this spring.  It may just be a late staging thing before more of the fish move south.

I'll be up there Saturday to try my luck.  I'll report back with my success or failure.

RPP Catfish Report last night. I was up by the State Park fishing. The wind was a bit nasty  angryfire so I moved into some small Creek by the Casino on the North End by Kelsyville.  I did catch some catfish 9 total, all fat female  5 to 17lbs  fish. The water temp was 72 early evening and dropped down to 65 at midnight. I could'nt do any drifting the wind was nasty. I stayed the night in the Creek by the Casino.

Later today I will try Soda Bay and fish the small inland with 1 tree on it. South end side. I sure hope that wind STOPS today.

It is time to get some catfishing on. The weather should be much better than what we had to deal with last year. I am so excited, I wet my pants. Good luck to everybody. See you at the weigh tables! P.S. My name is" lurcats "for the weekend. I am not a very good  fisherman so I am just lucky that I am a master baiter.LOL. fisher
