Hi Roland,

It's good to see you back here.
There are plenty of bass in Blue Lakes, he was asking if and how they are biting.

Right to fish, skill to catch, sense to release...

If I'm remembering correctly, Record Bee outdoor columnist Terry Knight told me a while back Upper Blue Lake largemouth bass in the 5-8 lb. range have been caught and released.

I believe it is safe speculation to state there are big toads on the prowl with the amount of bass candy stocked in that lake.  ??

I've yet to fish there, but from what I've heard... I should go there with someone familiar with the lake. The set speed limit makes for a long day for someone new to the lake.

I wonder if the lake is requiring boat inspections prior to launching with the quagga/zebra mussel issue?  ???

Hot dog!  It just so happens I should be up at Blue Lakes soon.  Looks like it's time to take the big bait rod!  fisher

yes i have seen huge bass chase after my trout before probably around 6-10 pounds. I have caught a 3 pound bass around the narrows in 2009.
