If I'm remembering correctly, Record Bee outdoor columnist Terry Knight told me a while back Upper Blue Lake largemouth bass in the 5-8 lb. range have been caught and released.
I believe it is safe speculation to state there are big toads on the prowl with the amount of bass candy stocked in that lake.

I've yet to fish there, but from what I've heard... I should go there with someone familiar with the lake. The set speed limit makes for a long day for someone new to the lake.
I wonder if the lake is requiring boat inspections prior to launching with the quagga/zebra mussel issue? ???
