Bread is a grate bait for cats, try cornflakes, red mixed with strawberry soda. and another GRATE bait is soap. Get a highly purfume womens soap and slice it long ways about 1/2 inch wide. Heat hook with a lighter and hook throw the soap spear just one time. The sent of the soap will bring them all in. you can use the hole bar as a chuming block as well. Place the soap in a panty hose with about a 1 or 2oz to sink it. Tie it with a dead line or small rope and down she gos. This will bring in the cats big time. for real, you better be ready for a cat fish attack. Note you should try useing the bio-or natural-womens soap as it will not harm fish or water.
