Launched out of Redbud a little after 10 this morning to light wind with calm lake conditions.
Arrive at The Big Green Dock and cast my 3/8 oz. football head Owner 3/0 jig with a Double Wide Beaver 5.20 in watermelon/green pumpkin close to the shoreline, and as I'm backing the boat up to let line out, jig end of the line starts to move to the left toward the dock.

Didn't even have to swing for the fence, as the fish shot toward the dock and set the hook on it's own.

Fish right off the bat... I'm thinking it's going to be a Hoover fish day

, but, alas, I feel the wind build up against my back, and soon I was in 2-3' rollers, with a few whitecaps in between.

No biggie... I've fished in it before

, but, unfortunately, my little companion has not, and she was soon chumming inside the boat.
Called it quits early and rode nice little rollers back to Redbud.
Here are a few pics.
