Launched out of Redbud a little after 10 this morning to light wind with calm lake conditions.

Arrive at The Big Green Dock and cast my 3/8 oz. football head Owner 3/0 jig with a Double Wide Beaver 5.20 in watermelon/green pumpkin close to the shoreline, and as I'm backing the boat up to let line out, jig end of the line starts to move to the left toward the dock.  woot

Didn't even have to swing for the fence, as the fish shot toward the dock and set the hook on it's own.  clap! clap!

Fish right off the bat... I'm thinking it's going to be a Hoover fish day  Crosses fingers , but, alas, I feel the wind build up against my back, and soon I was in 2-3' rollers, with a few whitecaps in between.  zoo taz

No biggie... I've fished in it before  Kiss, but, unfortunately, my little companion has not, and she was soon chumming inside the boat.  Puke

Called it quits early and rode nice little rollers back to Redbud.

Here are a few pics.

No problems going out, and considering this little Chihuahua is only six months old... she did well her first time out.

I made sure she made up for what she lost when we got home.  knifefork

Poor little guy.  I didn't know dogs get seasick.  Reminds me of myself before I finally got used to it.  Can dogs take Scopace?  Grin

I don't know what the active ingredient was but I saw some "motion-sickness medicine" just the other day in a pet supply shop...  It was right next to a couple of gallons of skunk-spray wash. Puke

Went back out and spent five hours working that shoreline.

Beautiful weather.  worthy

Green algae is still present, but all lightly suspended, with no surface scum.

Wind kicked up around noon, then tapered off within an hour with lake conditions at roughly 1/2 foot chop.

Numerous bass all in the 2 lb. range, and all with a 3/8 oz. football head Owner 3/0 jig and Double Wide Beaver 5.20 Big Texan (brown/dark brown) walked slowly on the bottom.

My companion enjoyed herself and relaxed the entire time.  worthy

Yep, both of you better keep your day jobs, because you'll go hungry as a comedian...   Kiss

Well you'd do well, I laughed pretty hard at that. But it could be the lack of sleep.
