Hey Guys,

Fished C/L Sunday nite with my neighbor and another friend.  The bite didn't start until around 11 PM for what ever it was worth.  The fish were really moving around it seemed to me.  They would come in, I would catch one or two and about thirty minutes later they would show up again.  My buddy did pretty good.  I think he probably ended up with about 20 nice slabs for his nite of fishing, all caught on minnows.  My neighbor and I ended up with about 19 between us, all were fat slabs, with one that had to be over three pounds.  I missed several that were at least 2 lbs plus.  I caught most of my fish on bass assassins in the salt and pepper color.

This is a warning to everyone parking your trailers in the Red Bud parking lot after dark.  Someone who had nothing better to do after dark took the oportunity to key my truck while I was out fishing.  They did a very good job if I do say so myself.  If I ever catch anyone lurking around my vehicle the next time I come to fish Elmer Fudd!, I think you get the message.

Tight lines,
Len

Hi Len,

That really sucks about your truck. It seems there are some totally senseless people out there that get some kind of pleasure out of destroying other people's property. If they had a nice vehicle and someone did it to them, I bet (or at least hope) their attitude would change.

Thanks for the crappie report. Although not wide open, it's the best crappie action I've heard of for quite some time. I certainly wouldn't expect you to divulge your good crappie holes but could you give us some very general locations?

Hey Ed,
I have never been the kind of fisherman afraid to tell people where I catch my fish.  I have gotten so much good information from the board from people who participate on the postings that I don't have any problem saying where I catch my fish when I catch them.

These fish were caught at the pipeline next to the barge there.  I think the water is on about 16 deep and I was catcing most of them about three feet from the surface.

The crappie are spawning.  Wink

That is a very well known area for this time of the year, especially with a full lake.

Good report Len!

Sorry to hear about the vandalism.  zoo taz

Nice job on the crappie, Len.  I thought they went the way of the dodo.   Shocked
