Short Story: Had an epic time. Celebrated with friends from Tues through Friday morning at Blue Fish Cove Resort. I laughed more during that period than I think I ever have. Good times for sure.  Met some of my So Cal online cat buddies.  Everett, it was nice meeting you too.  Sorry I left so quickly Saturday just before dark.  I wasn't feeling that spot and made a last minute decision to fish elsewhere.  We fished hard from Friday at noon until Sunday 10am. My big fish was 14.5 pounds which was 1 pound shy of the money. Lost 3 big fish between my partner Chuck & I to structure. We caught a snake out in open water that must have been swimming for hours.  Someone died in the pre-dawn period Saturday morning within a short distance from us as they drowned when their boat took on water.  No life jackets on board.  We also watched a different boater sink his boat early Saturday evening and get rescued. Crazy stories, memories, and adventures.

Long Story: Will come later

A little video I put together. Make sure to catch the credits at the end as they begin slowly:

Tight lines .  .  .

Thank you for the video!! We couldn't make it up (first time in 5 years) and this gave us a nice taste (excpet for the snake unsure)  So sorry about the boating accidents - people really need to take care on the water.  Thanks again!!

We fished from noon Friday until 9am Sunday. Our results were 4 fish - 10.6lb, 9.4lb, 8.6lb and 7.2lb.......all fish were released.

Caught 1 in the creek and the other 3 out drifting jago bay on Saturday afternoon. Lost a large one in the bay as it broke my spider wire 50lb test, it must be getting old, time to change it. Lost one in the creek that felt like it had size but couldn't confirm either one.

Noted a very large approximate 10lb bass in the tree we were tied to several times on friday and a couple 4-6lb bass swimming around us. Of course we had no lures with us. For bait we just had *&%^$#$^ cut bait as nobody up there had any shad by noon Friday. Should have bought a pack of worms, bought everything else they had.

Its a fine line between fishing and sitting on the shore with an expensive stick looking stupid.
