Hello, Hello?  Is this forum running.  Where is everybody?

I waited for all the fools to finish their long weekend and then went to the lake. When I got my June mussel tags, the gal at Lakeshore Bait told me the old decal I left on from last year is now a resident sticker and I don't need the monthly inspection.  Sounds like they have a flaw in their system, but I didn't want to take a chance, although I see very few boats and trailers with tags.  Does anybody know the real deal?

So I launched Tues afternoon into very clean 65 degree water.  Remember last year at this time?  YUCK. One fool left over from the weekend proceeded to circle me again and again with a skiier, chopping up the water and rocking the boat.  I was just about to do a range check with some 2 oz sinkers, but they finally left.

I got a 10 pounder right when the sun went behind the mountain and then nothing.  Moved into the creek and got an 8 for the whole night.  This morning, back on the lake, got 4 more from 6 to 11 pounds.  The weather channel was talking about rain tonite, which I did not expect, and the ominous sky was verifying it, so I decided to get out Dodge.  Don't like sleeping and fishing in weather.  There's always next time.  Only brought mackeral, and all fish lived to tell about it.

I don't have any idea about the tags / stickers.

The big bite is right around the corner.  Your southend areas should be on fire by the end of the month Catman.  Those water temps need to stabilize towards the mid 70's.

Thanks for the report.
