Mary and I tried a little shore fishing this morning starting about 6:30 am. I got an immediate blow up on my Pop-R and landed a nice fish of about 3½ or 4 pounds. We really thought it was a good sign but unfortunately I only had one light tick that I missed a little later. Mary had a nice one on a Senko that threw the hook and that was it.

I caught my fish at the Keeling Park Ramp area in Nice, Mary lost hers at the mouth of Holiday Harbor in Nice. We fished the old public pier in Lucerne as well as the new one. We also tried the Lucerne Launch Ramp area to no avail.

The only fish I caught.

Nice job Ed.

Any day with a line in the water, regardless of results, is better than 95% of the alternatives.

Any bass caught on a top water lure is a treasure in my book. I'm a black Hula Popper fan myself.  Roll Eyes Thanks for sharing and I bet Mary outfishes you next time!  angling
