Water Temp mid 80s
Water Clarity 2 ft to zero

Fished the north end to the narrows the last couple days, we caught lots of fish up to 4 pounds. Most were strong fighting 3 pounders.

The bite was different both days, yesterday we got into a great swim bait bite, We caught them on the 6" Osprey and the 5" Hippo. We also caught fish on soft plastics, frogs and the shakey head.

I took out a guy (Chris) that wanted to learn how to catch them on swimbaits, well he flat out whacked them and I think he is addicted.

I was fishing the sinko with only 1 bite and he was throwing the swim bait and had a limit in about an hour once we found out how they wanted it.
We continued to run our pattern all the way down to anderson island and back up north.

Tips: We covered allot of water to find the fish and changed our presentation until we found out how they wanted it.
If you can get a pattern going it should work on most of the lake now. Each day the pattern has changed for me from a slow presentation to a reaction bite.

Have fun !

Thanks Steve for a great report.  I'm thinking of going up there in the next couple of weeks.  Was wondering how bad that algae is right now.   Some people are telling me that you can walk on that stuff.  REALLY??  I was there last summer and I know at some places, there might have been an inch thick ... is it that bad now???

I haven't been out on the lake lately but from everything I'm reading on this and other forums, it's just starting to get bad in a few spots. They're saying It's nowhere near as bad as last year, at least not so far. Check out this thread for more info: http://catfished.com/forum/index.php?topic=3965.0

I was out there last weekend. The algae is not even close to as bad as it was this time last year. The bite can be hit or miss at times though.
