Well I have to say this years derby came with a battle.we stayed  out on the boat thru it all same as every year.we fished thru the high winds around the island until the wicked waves kicked up an we would tuck back into the chanels.fishing from the hillbilly bayliner as my buddy calls it ment we had a jet boat an a tarp tied over us with poles sticking out to stay dry.no tinted windows an warm cabin to hide in.Are first night we had three fish off of chicken liver just up from the y.the biggest was 14 on are scale but only 12 on the one that counte, guess its time for a new scale.the next morning we got a 10 fishing from the tules by the river mouth, had to get away Saturday evening out drifting.we moved back to are spot in the river before dark since rain was coming got are tarp up an  cooked up some grub.with the rain we wernt getting anything an I passed out an woke up to a bell going off around 3am with another 10lb.after that jus tryed staying dry an warm was hard enough keep are poles in the water tell 12 but didn't get anything else. How'd it go for you I seen a pontune crusie by said cat getters on the side guessing that's you.
