Went out to test an outboard today and decided to wet a line while I was out there today. It was a nice day with temps around 82 which equated to several boats and jet skis out on the lake. Things went pretty smoothly today at the ramp which is suprising given how crowded it was.

So after getting the motor dialed in I scooted over to crappie cove to throw a jig in my little honey hole at around 6PM. I was expecting bass as I was throwing a 5" white lunker grub on a 3/8oz jig head. Third cast I nailed this guy.

Pretty healthy little crappie

I started getting nailed cast after cast but my jig was too big for this tiny mouthed fish. Switched over to a white panfish assassin and started rippin some lips.

I could definitely tell the minnows were being worked by these guys. From time to time a few minnows would break surface and at one point I saw a mini whirlpool in the water which I assume was the crappy working the minnows in a circle at the surface.

I think I cuaght seven all together with a few coming off at the side of the boat. All fish were released healthily to fight another day.  Thumbs up
