I did for me what was an abreviated trip, launching at Redbud at 1PM on Saturday into 73 degree water, with a breezy little chop going on.  There were a lot of fine algae particles in the water, but not very noticeable.  I'll bet the wind kept it broken up.  Weeds are starting to grow on any bottom from 9 feet deep on up.  Not visible yet, but they probably will be soon.  I went out to Bass Alley at the worst time of day for fishing and managed to get a 9 and an 11 for the afternoon.  With one eye on the wind I decided I was really in for it if I stayed out there overnight, so I went into the creek.  Big mistake, but I really had no alternative, the way the wind was blowing.  Nothing all night except something small would tap the daylights out of the bait and strip it clean.  There was absolutley no current, and from my experience no current equals no fish.  At first light the air was calm in the creek so I went back out to the lake.  It was still a little windy, but tolerable, and from first light to 11AM I managed  a 12, 14, and a couple 8 pounders.  And of course they all lived to tell about it.  Seems my schedule has me fishing on falling temps and wind every time I get to go, so I'll just have to deal with it.  We'll see what the future brings.
