I was hoping someone could give me some advice on this area. I will be primarily on shore since I only have a canoe.  What baits work well here and any general spots? We are staying on the water at a friends house and my girl loves fishing for catfish.  Since she helped get the trip together for me to fish for bass and crappie I was hoping to get her on some of clearlake's monsters.   Thanks for you time guys!

I like the 2 hooks per line approach. Shrimp and night crawler. Throw it out, tie it down and wait.

The water was colder than I thought it would be but the fishing would haves probably been better with something with more scent like anchovies.   We ended up with just a couple from the bank at 10lbs & 15lbs.  Power bait gulp liver chunks and fresh dead minnow also caught at night.  Got four to 15lbs and watched one that was easily over 25lbs take a few huge bites out of one that we had one a stringer.
