About the catfish derby

First of all, I want to thank everyone that responded and especially those that offered to help set it up.

Unfortunately I just didn't have the time to pursue it due to other committments including Mary's bypass operation, (she's doing great by the way). I really believe we can get one going next year for sure. I promise to devote some time to getting it organized and will definitely contact all those who offered their help. It probably isn't that difficult to organize but it will require a little time and effort.

I'll start the ball rolling right after the new year so we'll have plenty of time to make it an enjoyable event.

angling  Thanks for letting us know the status of the tournament idea Ed. I was wondering what was coming of it. Your idea sounds great.

We are very excited about a tournament,just let us know,with plenty of notice.My dad and I will be there.Saturday and night untill like 7 Sunday morning would be good I think.Would be hard for us to start on Friday night.We're in Clovis (Fresno area).Keep us informed.

catfish ed please let me know when 2005 catfish tournament is going to be so I can come up and fish it and try to help out on it, I 'm trying to get what I call the so calif catfish assoc going.

I may have some t-shrit's to give out to the top five team's and some sink bait at my cost or just say less then what wal-mart is sale it for.

Thanks ed for that update. I am really looking for another excuse to come up there and do some fshing. After that 22lber i caught in last years tournament I am hooked on fishing at Clearlake. It defnitely held up to its reputation as the best catfishing in Califronia. If it wasn't so far I'd fish it more often. It's about a 7 hour drive for me but it would be worth it. I'll keep you and your wife in prayer

Sorry ed just saw that that message was from 2003. I was talking about the bag Tournament idea that was raised after the 2004 derby. has that gotten anymore consderation.

Hi Kev,

I guess I'm the world's worst procrastinator, I have not pursued it at all. There were several people that pledged their help but I dropped the ball. I'm really sorry about that. Considering my track record on this, I won't make any promises but maybe we can get something going in 2005.
